Goat farming is a very scattered business in the agricultural sector of India. With the increasing demand of goat meat all over the world, Goat farming business growing with lot of potential. In Indian Meat market keeping the demand & supply aspect in mind few Boer Goat breeders have been working towards the same for some time now. With the introduction & awareness of the benefits of Boer Goat farming over the years, few other farmers also joined hands and that’s how BGBA came into plan. BGBA was formed on 4th October 2021 with 15 Board of Directors under the society act 1860 under Asstt. Registrar,Charity Commissioner office Pune.

VISION:

Vision of BGBA is to become significant role player in genetic improvement of Indian Boer goats. To align the productive aspects of Boer Goats towards Breeding Boer’s up gradation and meat production so that the Rural Farmers can benefit from both markets. This will help more & more farmers to improve their economic status. To take up Goat Farming to next level and establish it as reform industry in India.

MISSION:

We want to breed exceptional Boer goats and establish them as a sustainable resource for betterment of socio economical status of farmers.

To further improve & develop the Boer Goat as a breed in India
Classify and Register Boer Goats with the Association
Providing services of Record keeping, Certification and Tagging of Boer Goats with the Association
Processing of integrated data into genetic analyses.
Timely alerts on various diseases and vaccinations to the Breeders.
Providing proper guidance on processing, sales, transportation and production of Boer Goat and its products.
Combing science and technology to adopt modernization in Boer Goat farming.
To create distribution network to further educate and spread awareness of Boer Goat to ruler areas.
Distribution of newsletters and the organizing of demonstrations to disperse knowledge regarding the Boer breed.
To organize a Boer Goat Shows in order to show the best quality Boer Goats.
To introduce a more efficient grading system of Boer Goat for breeding purpose.
The staging of auctions and the inspection of all animals offered on auctions under the auspices of the Association
To emphasize on creating additional market for goat meat from the producer through the abattoir and chain stores to the consumer.
To promote the export of Boer Goats as well as Boer Goat products.
